Emulators are electronic devices that simulate a variety of original vehicle signals that must be interrupted or modified when operating on gasoline (fuel injectors, Lambda sensors, MAPs, etc.). Their use prevents the vehicle's original control unit from detecting a false fault because the engine is not running on gasoline, thus preventing the Check Engine light from illuminating unreasonably. The appropriate simulator model for each vehicle varies depending on the type of original injection system. Some AEB simulators are delivered with a wiring harness with the same connectors as the vehicle to avoid working on the vehicle's original system.
