Deka Seal 8936 is a high quality, permanently tacky, OEM/professional grade sealant.
The fields of application are varied and can be extended as desired.

In general, Dekaseal 8936 adheres well without pre-treatment to clean, dry and dust and grease free substrates of aluminium, stainless steel, galvanized steel, zinc, copper, brass, epoxy coated metal , on most lacquered metal surfaces, on the substrate of glass, PVC, polyester (GRP), painted and lacquered wood, etc. No adhesion is obtained on polyethylene, polypropylene and Teflon without special treatment.

APPLICATION
The application of the mastic can be done by hand or with a compressed air gun (2-3 bars required).
Sealing of: cover strips, drains, superstructures, bores, roof constructions, passages and openings, rubber-glass connections, shutters, pipes, holes, moldings, etc.
Assembly of: windows, or similar in the caravan, wagon, container construction...
The substrate must be clean, dry and free of grease. Excess material can be removed after installation without residue.
The filler remains slightly tacky after drying, but is odorless and paint compatible.
Dekaseal 8936 is a high performance, non-hardening, slightly tacky, permanently tacky polyisobutene (PIB) based plastic sealant that is self-removable, but not paintable.

CHARACTERISTICS: Very low moisture vapor permeability (0.1-0.2 g/day/m²).

When using compressed air, a pressure of 2-3 bar is required. Product sprays into grooves, gaps, etc. and smooth. Excess material is removed with the same material after a few minutes. The material can be cleaned with white spirit. The mastic retains a certain thickness after the drying time. It is odorless and does not attack the paint. STORAGE STABILITY Dekaseal 8936 is frost resistant. The storage temperature must be between +15°C and +25°C. Bundles should be protected from direct sunlight and heat.
